Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and human behaviour, helping students understand themselves and others.
Studying psychology allows students to explore aspects of human behaviour that affect daily life, including social interaction, learning and memory, motivation, and mental health. Through this, students gain insights into both themselves and the complex world we live in.
Psychology as a Science
Psychology uses an objective, scientific approach to study behaviour and mental processes. Students rely on skills from science, maths, and English to carry out research, formulate hypotheses, control variables, analyse data, and evaluate theories and studies using correct psychological terminology.
