Our Careers Team

Goldington Academy has a small careers team, dedicated to help guide students through their career and future options. Our Careers Adviser is a fully qualified level 6 careers practitioner with many years’ experience and specialist training.

Our Commitment To You

Goldington Academy seeks to provide a planned programme of careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) for students in partnership with Bedford Borough Council, training and HE providers, businesses, parents, alumni and other external agencies. This programme can be found in the Key Stage 3 and 4 sections and covers three main areas:

• Self-Development – enabling students to understand themselves, their strengths and the influences on them, acquiring the core competencies and skills necessary to give them access to a range of opportunities
• Career Exploration – investigation of opportunities in work and learning, understanding the changing world of work and key labour market information
• Career Management – developing skills to enable students to make and adjust plans and to manage change and transitions
