How employers can help
We aim to help our students reach their full potential and progress onto a successful destination by providing them with the widest possible range of employer and careers-related opportunities. This can only be achieved with the help and support of those around us, including employers and alumni.
We seek to actively engage employers in the development and delivery of careers provision and appreciate that your time is precious. Some examples of how an employer could get involved in careers activities are as follows:
-
Provide a ‘Futures talk’ (careers insight) to a small group of students about your career sector
-
Send a representative to deliver an assembly to a year group about your career sector
-
Host a workplace visit for a small group of students
-
Work with curriculum leaders to develop bespoke careers insight resources that can be used as part of subject-specific curriculum
-
Provide promotional materials that can be shared with students (leaflets, posters for display, etc.)
-
Send a representative to act as an interviewer during mock interviews
This list is not exhaustive, and we would welcome your input. Please contact Mr Alex Lucas, Careers Leader, at lucasa@goldington.beds.sch.uk.
