Goldington Academy is an oversubscribed secondary school that educates children between the ages of 11 and 16. During Years 7, 8 & 9 students study a wide range of subjects: English; Mathematics; Science; Dance; Drama; Design & Technology (DT); Cooking & Nutrition (C&N); Computing; French; History; Geography; Art; Music; Physical Education (PE); Religious Education (RE); Spanish and Life Skills, including Relationships and Sex Education (RSE).
At Goldington Academy students begin their GCSE journey at the start of Year 10. All students study English Language, English Literature, Mathematics and Science, as well as either Geography or History. Students then select from the following GCSE/Vocational options: Art & Design; Creative iMedia (vocational); Computer Science; Dance; Design & Technology; Drama; Enterprise & Marketing (vocational); French; Geography; Health & Social Care (vocational); History; Hospitality & Catering (vocational) Music; Physical Education; Psychology; Religious Studies; Spanish; Sports Studies (vocational) and Travel & Tourism (vocational).
All students in Years 10-11 also have two lessons of physical education each week and study Life Skills (including RSE), although these subjects are non-examined.
